Julia is an experienced psychologist with a wealth of experience in the assessment, treatment and management of learning difficulties, neuro-developmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a wide range of psychological disorders , especially mood disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression and anxiety disorders. Julia carefully tailors assessments and treatment according to the individual needs of her clients and uses Cognitive Behavioural and systemic approaches.
Julia has acquired her experience working and training in the NHS in a variety of services: Great Ormond Street Hospital, North East London Community Mental Health Team, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team at the University College of London Hospital and South West London and St George’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Learning Disability Service. These services support children and young people with a wide variety of psychological needs, including children with complex medical and educational needs. She has also worked in a school in Tottenham in London, conducting educational assessments and working closely with the Haringey Local Educational Authority to support pupils with a wide range of educational, social and medical needs. Hence, Julia’s work includes close liaison and collaboration with schools.
She works closely with a number of other highly skilled professionals with specific expertise in various areas, such as psychiatrists, neurodevelopmental psychiatrists, child and adolescent psychiatrist, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists etc.
